4 months & counting

Can you believe that Joshua is 4 months old already?  He had his 4-month pediatrician appointment today & his doctor is happy with his development.  Josh is 26 1/2″ tall (95th percentile!) & 14 lb 15 oz (50th percentile).  What a big boy he’s becoming!  He flirted with her for the entire apointment & showed off how much he can do now.  After his appointment, Joshua had 4 immunizations which quickly ended his happy mood.  Mom & Dad both had flu shots on the same day so we could empathize with him, although our single shots didn’t quite compare to his 3 big pokes.  Josh is becoming an expert at getting shots, since he’s had RSV shots every 4 weeks since he got home from the hospital, but he still has a very loud screa each time!  He looks at me & as if to ask “why are you letting this happen, Mom?” & that just breaks my heart.  But Daddy & I know it’s in his best interest so that helps console us (but not him).  Joshua is getting over his cold finally but his runny nose is persisting.  At least he’s back to sleeping through the night.  We sure lucked out with how good of a sleeper this kid has been–most nights he gets at least 10 hours straight!

Joshua got to meet Santa Claus this week at the USU holiday party.  He sat on his lap & told him what he wanted for Christmas, & then when I picked him up from Santa’s lap, he almost pulled Santa’s beard off!!!  We have another holiday party with the Spouses Club next week so he’ll get to see Santa again there.  As soon as our computer gets back from the shop (again), I’ll upload the photos of Josh & Santa for all to see.
