Home sweet home
Published by Mom May 4th, 2007 in NewsWe’re back! The flights were again crowded, but we survived. Josh was even more hyper on the first leg than he was on the way out (I think he was just excited to get to see Daddy again). On the flight from Chicago to Baltimore, we sat next to a woman & her 3-year-old son. The little boy kept kicking the seat in front of him, slamming the tray table up & down, & squirming all over. His mom kept saying “this is what you’ll have to deal with in 2 years.” With all of Joshua’s flying experiences, I sure hope he’s a better flyer when he’s older than they were (it was the first flight for both of them)!
Joshua is getting used to being at home again, but he does miss all of the spaciousness at Grandpa’s. He’s being reunited with his old toys, but he seems just as happy to play with a small box that we have in the living room. Joshua will push it with his hands as he crawls with his legs. It took awhile for Josh to transition back to his crib since he slept in a pack-n-play at Dad’s place, & he still wakes up early even though it’s 3 hours earlier than on the west coast (so much for my hopes of sleeping in!). Erick is happy to have his little boy back, but it’s hard since he has already had 3 final exams since we got back—including one the morning after we arrived. There are 3 more finals next week & then he’s done with classes. Yeah!!!
Joshua isn’t even 1 year old yet and he’s a Jetsetter! That’s awesome! I hope you’re saving his Sky Miles for him.
I’m glad everything went well! Welcome back home.
