Joshua got his first real haircut last night—what a handsome little boy he’s become!  My good friend Dana came over & cut his hair.  She’s a true professional & really knew what she was doing, especially with such a squirmy little guy.  He’s got a cute little ‘do now, other than the back which was just too difficult to even attempt since Josh got pretty figity toward the end & wasn’t being the most cooperative client she’s had.  We’ll save that for next time.

It’s hard to imagine that Joshua is 11 months old already.  He’s going to be a year in less than a month!!!  The first of Joshua’s ‘friends’ turned 1 last week & another will be 1 in a few days.  What big boys they’ve all become.  Even though the days seem to go by slowly sometimes, the year has flown by so quickly.  I’m sure it’ll just keep getting faster & faster as Josh grows older & older.

Joshua’s newest accomplishment is being able to push up to stand from the floor.  He’s been doing this from a very low surface (my leg, a pillow on the floor, or my stomach when I’m laying down), but now he doesn’t even need anything to get up.  When he first discovered he could do this, he pushed up, stood, plopped down, & did it again.  He did this for over 5 minutes straight, as if he was really trying to get it down pat.  He did.  I can’t get a photo or video of this yet, because whenever I grab the camera & he sees it, he’ll stop whatever cute thing he’s doing & crawl over to try to grab the camera.  Silly boy.

Erick’s mom will be happy to know that Joshua is eating more now, since she kept joking that we were starving her little grandson.  Now that we’ve finally been able to get back into a routine after our travels, he’s finally transitioned to 3 full meals & not just 2 meals & lots of little snacks.  On Saturday, the 3 of us actually sat down for breakfast at the same time & had omlettes!  Joshua’s was just egg yolks with cheese & tomatoes, but it was neat that we all had the same thing for a change (& not just because we all had cereal).  Josh is eating many more foods now but it’s a pain in the butt having to wait at least 3 days before introducing new foods!  With his eczema flair-ups, this seems to take awhile, but at least he’s not seeming to have too many problems with foods.  Managing to get the foods into his mouth is a greater problem since we’re doing more finger foods now.  Thank goodness for our hardwood floors in the dining room!!!
