Class clown
Published by Mom August 30th, 2007 in NewsJoshua & I went to a music hour at the library this morning. It turned out to be a demo for a 0-5 music class to get people to sign up & I’m really considering it because Josh had such a great time. The instructor said that the little kids could go wherever they wanted & that the mommies didn’t have to keep them still or quiet (which was good for me because those are 2 things Joshua doesn’t like to do). Joshua took her at her word & wandered all over the place. He would clap to the music, play his little instrument, & smiled pretty much the entire time. The other grown-ups seemed pretty amused by this silly little boy walking up to them as if they were his friends. After we got home, Josh took a nice, long nap because he was worn out from all the dancing & playing we did.
Joshua now has 6 teeth—quite a mouthful! He must like to show them off because he smiles at everyone. We went to the USU welcome BBQ yesterday afternoon & Josh flirted with dozens of girls. While I manned the cotton candy booth, he sat patiently in his stroller watching people walk by or come up to our booth. He did manage to pull of his socks & shoes while I wasn’t looking, though.
Now that he’s walking all over, we’re having fun playing chase even more. When he really wants to get away quickly, Josh sometimes gets on his hands & knees, but he mostly just toddles quickly now. We play ball regularly & it’s really cute to watch Joshua get ready for me to roll the ball to him. He plops on his butt & spreads his legs so I know he’s ready for it. He’ll usually throw the ball back to me but sometimes he decides to carry it somewhere to play with it by himself. Or he’ll just decide to play with something else.
