Joshua Tyler is the name we gave
This little boy who has been so brave.

His first breath was drawn and he let out a cry
To announce his arrival the best he could try.

Seven pounds, thirteen ounces is the weight that he came,
All packaged together in his twenty-one inch frame.

The clock on the wall read 2:44
On the afternoon of August 7, he could wait no more.

He gave us a scare with a huge surprise—
Seems his ticker worked fine
But its plumbing was all out of line.

Though we were concerned as you might suspect,
He was still perfect in every respect.

A great medical team was what he needed,
And so in a couple of days they proceeded.

Surgeons moved and adjusted and shifted and inspected
When all was in order they declared his heart perfected.

Now that we are home, which to us is brand new,
We are eager to introduce our little boy to you.
